However, conflicts arose when they liked the same woman, Sekar, who was their teacher’s daughter. Jaka, who has a handsome face, eventually asks sekar, but his father accepts the proposal without permission from the putri.

But actually Sekar loved Wira, so to subtly reject the proposal, he did a contest where he would marry a person who could extinguish the Tangkuban boat lava. In the end, Jaka and Wira were looking for a way to win the match, but Jaka was actually unable to do so.

But he agreed, but after wandering jaka instead of looking for a way to extinguish the lava, he played around. However, it is different from what Wira did where he did different ways to extinguish the lava. Until he finally saw the beaver that made the dam out of wood.

This eventually gave him a way to extinguish the lava. Until Wira finally blocked the Citarum River by tearing down the hill so that the river water could stop until it was finally able to extinguish the lava on the tangkuban boat.

So that it eventually became a lake from the basin. Eventually, Wira and Sekar married and had children. After many years, however, the dam that had been created collapsed due to the higher water drainage, causing the water in the lake to dry up.

As a result, a landmass with loose soil appeared, causing many people to move to the new place. Until finally the new place became the city of Bandung whose name was derived from the dam or weir. This is the folklore of West Java that many people still don’t know.
